Onsen open from 3pm to 10am is a plus after sightseeing in the Kanazawa area. If you are an early riser, I suggest to go to onsen earlier than 6:30 as the buffet had a line. We loved the breakfast buffet in Kanazawa and seafood was very fresh. There was also a made to order omurice station which we did not partake in but the fact that they had that compared to other Dormy's was a nice touch. Lanudry was also a plus - you don't need to bring detergent as the machine already has a dispenser in them. My anime loving 11 year old son also enjoyed the manga room for books to check out. The bus to Shirakawa-go and Takayama was full for the day so we were bummed about that because I really wanted to eat Hida Beef. But I found the melt in your mouth Hida Beef at Steak Kitase restaurant close to the hotel. I highly recommend staying at Dormy Inn in Kanazawa excellent value for the price and had everything I needed for my stay in Kanazawa.

The breakfast is at 1st floor of the hotel, the same place that every late evening (9.30-11.00 pm) they give you nice yummy free ramen that makes you feel warm and comfy. The hotel also gives away free (also yummy) various types of ice cream at night at the same floor you go to onsen bath. You can check how crowded the onsen (and breakfast buffet) area is with the TV in the room. There is also sauna room but I didn't try it. The place is near to the Kanazawa station. Can walk. There is also a department store opposite of the hotel. With Pokemon Center and Uniqlo in it. The department store closes quite early though (8 pm). The staff is very helpful. If you need help, you can ask the staff at the front counter. The check-in process by the staff is quick and convenient.

The location was so excellent, within minutes from getting off the train. Love the convenience of the best shopping areas and eateries all within easy walking distance. Friendly, helpful staff. Arrived in the cold winter so the location couldn’t have been better. It was my first time at a Dormy Inn and now I have pleasant memories to reflect on. Nice onsen, love the complimentary ice cream after a good soak. Washer was free and dryer 100 yen for 20 min and it worked well. The late night complimentary hot soba was thoughtful and comforting during the cold winter. Such a good experience so we decided to book a room at a Dormy in Kobe as well! Can’t go wrong with all you get for the price, highly recommend.

I frequent Dormy Inns - they are generally nice and this one wasn't any exception. The location was pretty good - very close to the central train and bus stations as well as the mall is right in front of it, albeit most of the eateries are not that close. The public bath was pretty nice with rather unusual water - it helped to relax after the whole day of sightseeing. Their sauna was also great and helped to warm up after chilly November days. The staff was helpful and assisted us with answering some questions and forwarding our luggage to the next hotel. And of course - Dormy signature the evening noodle service and free popsicles after bathing are always great to have.

close to the station, 4 minute walk. The Station is right near the bus station as well, which is perfect if you're trying to take the Left Loop Bus to see all of the best tourist spots. the onsen, like all Dormy Inns, was comfortable and relaxing. there are also free manga if you can read Japanese. there are free popsicles and ice cream at towards night time, and free Yakult probiotic drinks during the morning. there is also free ramen after 930 pm.
